Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father, an native Argentine of Scottish and English descent is her mother. Her mother has Spanish as well as English roots. Taylor-Joy has the eldest of five children, four are the result of a previous marriage to Taylor's father. They lived together within Buenos Aires from the time she was 6 years old up until the day they left for Victoria, London. According to Taylor-Joy, this relocated family was traumatized and did not want to study English to the hope that she could return to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to following her departure from Northlands. Her next school was Queen's Gate School, where she was a dancer and also performed in plays. She quit high school at 16 to pursue an acting profession. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to work as an actress. The opportunity was offered to her chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered modeling work.
